Graduated with a score of 104/110 from my university: Politecnico di Milano. Given my inclination for both I studied both security and graphics concepts for Computer Science, participating in Game Jams, CTFs and all possible activities that would range between the two. I had the change to tackle making a full fledged game with a 5 month timeline. as well as building a graphics engine from scratch, with no libraries to help with the math. My final thesis, under Professor Pier Luca Lanzi, crystalized in the form of a Unity tool for procedurally exploring shaders via the usage of genetic algorithms to generate interesting variations. It got published in IEEE Games, Media and Entertainment (here!). Overall it was a great experience that made me into the engineer I am today.
