JumpFranco @ Global Game Jam 2025

Jumpfranco was the product of 48 hours of madness during the 2025 Global Game Jam in Milan, the first edition the Jam was back in Milan after a hiatus (and after missing it a while). I teamed up with people new to the world of making games and novices to the jam environment, so I ended up working more as Game Designer and the designated problem whacker. I went from programming to designing the level and puzzles to fixing blender importing issues together with finally placing the assets in the environment, so it was definitely a hectic project where I wore more hats than I usually do. The theme for the jam was “Bubbles” so the team ultimately settled on a 2D platformer with 3D styling starring a funny looking alien. The game was developed in Unreal Engine and for programming we sticked to Blueprints given we didn’t need any complex logic. The jams are always fun and this was no exception! You can check out details about the game as well as try it here!
